Posted on Leave a comment

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. – Jan. 18, 2023  Epson America, Inc. today announced two additions to its collection of A4 business printers, the WorkForce® Pro WF-C5890 color MFP and the WorkForce Pro WF-C5390 color printer. The WF-C5890 and WF-C5390 are ideal options for busy work environments and designed to tackle the pain points of troubleshooting and frequently replacing ink and paper.

Engineered to minimize interventions, the WF-C5890 and WF-C5390 are built with Replaceable Ink Pack Systems, allowing businesses to print up to 5,000 ISO pages with replacement ink packs1 and save up to 25 percent on replacement ink vs. color laser toner.2

“The WF-C5890 has been a stress-free replacement for one of our office’s laser MFPs that had consistent issues and service troubles,” said K. Austin Taylor, hospital administrator, Vista Animal Hospital. “We have roughly 20 employees using the Epson printer and it has been a reliable MFP for our office, producing high-quality surgical discharge paperwork, certificates and related documents for clients.”

Powered by PrecisionCore Heat-Free® technology, the new color MFP and color printer are built for reliability and powerful productivity and have the lowest power consumption in their class.3 Both models have a recommended monthly print volume of 5,000 pages, print speeds of 25 ISO ppm (black/color) with virtually no warmup time and a fast first page out for quick and seamless printing.

“These new desktop printers are designed to help businesses overcome the challenges associated with conventional printers, including the required interventions that can slow down productivity,” said Kaila Murphy, product manager, Business Imaging, Epson America, Inc. “The WF-C5890 and WF-C5390 are built with few moving parts for low-maintenance, easy, high-volume color printing.”

Feature-Rich for Small Offices
For small businesses or small workgroups that need to print hundreds or thousands of color pages per month, the WF-C5890 and WF-C5390 have up to 1,830-sheet capacity with three optional trays. Producing professional-quality results, the new models use DURABrite® Ultra Ink to achieve razor-sharp text and brilliant colors on a wide variety of media.

For busy workgroups with dynamic document management needs, the WF-C5890 has a 50-page duplex Auto Document Feeder, auto 2-sided print, copy, scan and fax, and an intuitive 4.3″ color touchscreen.

Easy Integration into Existing Environments
The WF-C5890 is compatible with enterprise applications such as PaperCut® MF, PrintFleet®, ECi (FMAudit®) and other workflows to enable remote printer data collection for MPS solutions. The printers also support PCL4 and PostScript for seamless integration into a universal print environment. They are also compatible with Epson® Solutions Suite, including Epson Remote Service, Epson Device Admin and Epson Print Admin.

How to Choose the Proper Industrial Labels for Your Needs

Industrial labels serve a variety of purposes in businesses and other organizations. For example, they can be used for product identification, inventory tracking, or warning and cautionary information. However, choosing the right one for your needs can be challenging with many different labels available. This guide will help you select the best labels for your application.

1. The type of surface the label will be applied to:

These labels can be made from various materials, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. For example, some materials are better suited for smooth surfaces, while others can adhere to textured or curved surfaces.

2. The environment the label will be exposed to:

The labels must withstand exposure to harsh chemicals, UV light, extreme temperatures, and other harsh conditions. Choose a material that can withstand the specific conditions where the label will be used.

3. The printing method:

Industrial labels can be printed using various methods, including thermal transfer, laser, and inkjet. Each printing method has advantages and disadvantages, so choose the one that best meets your needs.

4. The size and shape of the label:

The labels come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Choose a size and shape that will fit nicely on the surface where the label will be applied.

5. The adhesive:

The adhesive is an essential factor to consider when choosing industrial labels. Some adhesives are better suited for specific surfaces or environments than others. Choose an adhesive that will provide a strong bond and withstand the label’s conditions.

6. The price:

Of course, you’ll also need to consider the price when choosing industrial labels. They can be expensive, so be sure to compare prices from various vendors before making your purchase.

7. The turnaround time:

If you need your labels quickly, be sure to choose a vendor with a fast turnaround time. Some vendors may charge a premium for quick turnaround times, so be sure to factor that into your decision.

8. Customer service:

Finally, be sure to consider the customer service of the vendor you’re considering. You’ll want to choose a vendor that is responsive to your questions and concerns.

  1. Helps businesses keep track of products and inventory: The labels can be used for product identification and inventory tracking. This helps businesses and organizations keep track of their products and inventory, saving time and money.
  2. Helps organizations comply with regulations: These labels can also be used to provide warning and cautionary information. This helps businesses and organizations comply with safety regulations, which can prevent accidents and injuries.
  3. Helps businesses promote their products: They can be used to promote businesses and organizations’ products. This helps organizations increase brand awareness and sales.
  4. Helps organizations save time and money: Using these labels can help businesses and organizations save time and money. This is because the labels can automate various processes, such as inventory tracking and product identification.
  5. Helps businesses protect their products: These labels can help businesses and organizations protect their products from damage. This is because the various labels can act as a barrier to protect products from scratches, moisture, and other types of damage.

Now that you know all the factors to consider when choosing the labels, you’re ready to select the best labels for your needs. Be sure to compare vendors and prices before making your purchase, and don’t hesitate to ask questions if you’re unsure about anything. You can find the perfect industrial label for your application with some research.

DataMaster Lab’s for its PrecisionCore Heat-Free Inkjet Printers and MFPs

Award Brings Further Affirmation of Epson’s Sustainability Efforts November 07, 2022 Business Printers

Epson Green Award 2022 Winner , PrecisionCore, Heat-Free

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. – Nov. 7, 2022 – Epson has won this year’s DataMaster Lab GREEN Award in recognition of the environmental benefits afforded by all its inkjet printers and MFPs, powered by PrecisionCore Heat-Free® technology, and the sustainability measures employed as part of their development, production and distribution. DataMaster is an independent European laboratory and an expert in professional document imaging solutions.

“Aligning with Epson’s dedication to developing sustainable technologies, DataMaster Lab recognizes the importance of decreasing energy use to reduce the adverse effects on the environment,” said Elliot Williams, director of product management, Business Imaging, Epson America, Inc. “Our MFPs engineered with PrecisionCore Heat-Free technology provide positive benefits. The WorkForce® Enterprise lineup offers the lowest power consumption in their class1 and fast printing speeds with practically no warm-up time. Requiring minimal intervention with few maintenance parts, it is designed to help minimize waste.”

DataMaster Lab analyzed Epson MFPs with PrecisionCore Heat-Free technology and found them to have low energy consumption, long consumable lifetimes and their small carbon footprint.

This Award is not just about electrical consumption. Edward Bilson, Technical Director of DataMaster Lab said, “We take into account accreditations for manufacturing facilities, levels of noxious emissions – and the nature and lifetime of a machine’s consumables. When you consider the carbon footprint of a consumable item’s manufacture, transportation, distribution, and its final resting place in a landfill site, you realize that all consumables need to be designed with the environment in mind, and have the longest lifetime possible. The winners of DataMaster Lab’s GREEN Award have the least impact on our precious environment.”

Since 2018 Epson has invested considerably into the development of its PrecisionCore® printhead, and last year it committed to investing 100 billion Yen into further developing sustainable technologies, decarbonization and resource recycling. It also committed to becoming underground resource free by 2050. Epson will continue to progress development that both improves product performance for its customers and reduces the impact on the world.

Epson MFPs Keypoint Intelligence

Posted on Leave a comment

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. – Sept. 20, 2022 –  Epson America, a worldwide leader in inkjet printing solutions, today announced Keypoint Intelligence has presented the Epson WorkForce® Enterprise portfolio of MFP line head printers with a Buyers Lab (BLI) Security Validation seal for Device Penetration. Recognized for device security strength, the WF-C21000, WF-C20750, WF-C20600, and WF-M21000 firmware were subjected to a challenging test conducted by a third-party white-hat hacker and passed the rigorous evaluation.

“Our pen testing is designed to probe the device’s firmware and OS to determine if there are vulnerabilities a bad actor could exploit to access the MFP and wider network,” explained Jamie Bsales, director, Office Workflow and Security Analysis, Keypoint Intelligence. “The Epson WorkForce Enterprise series firmware joins a select group that has proven to us that, when properly configured, the devices present a low risk of attack.”

Keypoint Intelligence created the neutral, third-party security testing benchmark program that standardizes the requirements for output device and office IoT (Internet of Things) security. Its Device Penetration test consists of a combination of automated tools and manual exploitation attempts by certified security experts to probe for potential vulnerabilities in the device firmware/OS, ports, print protocols, embedded web page, connectivity avenues, and more.

“In today’s digital age, device security is top-of-mind for both end users who want to make sure their operations are as safe as possible and partners who own the responsibility of recommending and servicing solutions,” said Dan Misilewich, product manager, Business Imaging, Epson America. “The Security Validation Seal is an important milestone for the WorkForce Enterprise solutions, ensuring partners and customers that Epson not only prioritizes reliability, flexibility and productivity features but also security features that businesses can count on.”

Epson’s WorkForce Enterprise lineup of office printing solutions, engineered for reliability and cost efficiency, span mid- to high-volume printers and is designed to address the business printing needs of large workgroups and departments. The WorkForce Enterprise MFPs with PrecisionCore Heat-Free® technology are designed to help reduce maintenance interventions and minimize waste and offer remarkable reliability, fast first page out times and security features.
